“ 農業と同じように、職人的な手仕事への回帰の流れも続くに違いない。日本の各種専門学校は世界的にみても、実はかなり高い水準の教育をしている。さらに大学を出たって手工業の仕事についてもいいじゃないかと思う人が増えている。私もそう思う。工場で高い品質を支えてきた高卒の人たちがいなくなる代わりに、より高い教育を受けた人たちが旋盤を回すようになるのだ。大量生産から個別生産への変化に、ちょうど付合している。誰もがネクタイを締めてホワイトカラーを目指す時代は終わりになるのだろう。
